Welcome to one of the most unique ecosystems in the world — Everglades National Park. 2. Dry Tortugas National Park

Dry Tortugas National Park is one of the most remote — and magical — destinations in all of Florida. Think crystal-clear turquoise waters, vibrant coral reefs, and a massive 19th-century coastal fortress (yes, a real fort in the middle of the ocean). Welcome to Fort Jefferson, a place that feels more like the Caribbean than the U.S.

The park is made up of 7 small islands and is 99% water, which makes it an absolute dream for snorkeling, kayaking, and marine life watching. You’ll find colorful fish, coral, sea turtles, and even shipwrecks beneath the surface

One of my personal favorites was the Brunch that  we had at midway Café.

The highway offers plenty of opportunities for stops at scenic overlooks, wildlife viewing areas, historical sites, and local restaurants offering fresh seafood. Take your time and stop where ever you please and just soak up the beauty.

Eating in a classic Diner feels just like stepping back in time. The food is amazing and just so comforting. Diners can make you feel right at home. The beauty of a diner is in the simplicity. People gather early, eyes on the sky, some with cameras, others just soaking it in. And then it happens. The countdown hits zero. A blinding light, a deep rumble you feel in your chest, and that rocket rises into the sky like something out of a sci-fi movie. It’s not just loud—it’s powerful. Emotional, even.
